Back in March 2023, we posted our first invitations to bid for our safety and security packages. 

We are now at the point where bids have been accepted and are now working through the construction phase of our HVAC work at the elementary schools as well as gym additions and laying the groundwork for science room, weight room and multi-purpose rooms at Lapeer High School.

We will work with individual buildings to identify the specific areas being impacted by our spring/summer renovation schedule. 

The Center For Innovation (CFI) demolition and parking lot expansion is complete and we are currently working on site restoration. We are also moving along with safety and security upgrades.

We remain on target to transition to the district’s new grade level reconfiguration plan in 2025-26: 

Turrill – E5/K-4 Year Round

Schickler – E5/K-4

Lynch – E5/K-4

Murphy – E5/K-4

Rolland-Warner – 5-6

Zemmer – 7-8

LHS – 9-12

Moving forward, we all must be patient as we continue to navigate this process. In the end, all the same, energy and resources we will put into this process will certainly be well worth it for our students and staff.
