In Sunday’s edition of the County Press, Wes Smith endorsed the LCS School Improvement Bond citing the positive impact these types of bonds can have on the overall health of the community, specifically local businesses.
For the editorial, he reached out to several local business owners to get their take on the bond. Ben Warren, of Warren Systems, made his thoughts crystal clear: “A good school district is going to attract good families who want to give their kids the best chance to succeed … we hope some of those kids are our future employees.”
From the editorial:
“In my experience, successful business owners and managers didn’t become successful by investing poorly and would not support wasteful public spending. When business leaders get behind something like a school bond proposal, it’s worth listening to them.”
