You may have noticed some fencing, like seen in the photo below, going up at Murphy, Schickler and Turrill Elementary Schools.. These are going up around the footprint of our bond-funded multi-purpose rooms. Once they are constructed, all of our elementary schools will have separate gym and cafeteria space (Lynch Elementary already has separate spaces).

This has been a goal of the District for many years, and it has been made possible by the passage of the 2022 School Improvement Bond.

Obviously major projects like this one take time, so please be patient. The bond timeline calls for the spaces to be completed during the 2024-2025 school year, but you should be able to see work happening very soon!
