The newly paved driveway to Schickler Elementary has been finished and vehicles and busses are able to access it for the first day of school!

Work continues on the driveway to Schickler Elementary. This will soon be the new entrance to the auditorium at Lapeer High School. Paving of the north parking lot and new bus loop/drop-off area is nearing completion at LHS.

As the calendar turns to August, district bond work is continuing across Lapeer Community Schools. On July 31, the new chiller/air conditioning unit was installed at Lapeer High School. Steel beams were installed today at Lapeer High School as part of the new auditorium entrance. Work will start on the auditorium’s facelift very soon as well. In addition, the driveway to Schickler Elementary School is down to the dirt and paving work will start there shortly.

Wednesday at Lapeer High School, crews removed the old chiller to make way for a brand-new unit that will be installed later this summer as part of the ongoing bond work across the district.

The summertime bond work is moving forward across LCS. The interior work at Lapeer High School is continuing, including work on the locker rooms and on the entranceway to the auditorium. At Schickler Elementary, the driveway repaving process is moving along smoothly and on schedule.

The milling work has begun on the driveway to Schickler Elementary School in preparation for the stretch to be repaved later this summer.

With school out and summer here, bond work at Lapeer High School has kicked into high gear. The north parking lot at Lapeer High School will be closed, starting June 6, for milling work as part of the ongoing bond work across the district.

Check out this rendering of the exterior of the auditorium! The multi-purpose room at LHS gets its use by members of the wrestling program. The new science labs at LHS are beginning to take shape. The weight room addition (minus the equipment) was funded by bond dollars.
