The date February 9, 2026, was a jam-packed day as it relates to the Lapeer Community Schools Performing Arts Center.

In the morning, ABC-12 came out and ran four live segments, interviewing our superintendent Matt Wandrie, board of education president Summer Putnam, director of bands Dan Hundt, director of choirs Rafeal McDaniels, and several band and choir students.

Later that evening, an estimated 400 people visited the PAC and enjoyed hors-d’oeuvres, tours, band and choir performances, remarks from our superintendent and board president, and community camaraderie.
